Francine Reingold and Val Winstanley
Libraries Reading Outreach in Clatsop County Endowment Fund

This endowment means sustainable funding for Libraries ROCC that will be used to support the program for the future.

It means less time spent on fundraising for our librarians and ROCC Coordinator, and more time spent on
directly helping children through this program.

Endowment dedicated to the memory of Francine Reingold

Francine Reingold was an exceptionally talented and dedicated elementary teacher who recognized that early learning reading instruction was critical to the education of her students.  Francine spent her 25-year teaching career making sure that her students received the best possible reading education.  One of her final requests was that I actively support this program in her name.

Endowment dedicated to the memory of Val Winstanley

In her youth, Valerie was not a reader.  She was not interested and often struggled with school.  At age sixteen, she was asked to read what was her first novel.  From that day forward she was never without a book.  She taught her children to read at the age of three and she always made time to read with her grandsons.
