Providing access to library services, literacy, and reading for ALL youth in Clatsop County

Libraries Reading Outreach in Clatsop County (Libraries ROCC) is a library services outreach program that partners between the communities, three public libraries, corporate sponsors, and five school districts.

Together, through collaboration and community support, we are bridging the gaps between funded and unfunded youth services in rural areas.

Bridging the Gap

Our goals are to place a library card in the hands of every child who wants one, to remove library services access barriers, and to support the annual countywide summer reading program.

Northwest Library Cooperative Catalog

In July 2020, Seaside Public Library, Astoria Public Library and Warrenton Community Library joined to create the Northwest Library Cooperative. Through NLC, Clatsop County residents with a library card can check out and return materials at all three libraries, search for books and other materials using a shared catalog and request items to be sent to their home library for pickup.
